Herbie Hancock one of the great composers and piano players of the last fifty years or so. In Herbie's music, genre is secondary — no matter what he's playing, the musicianship and creativity are absolutely in the stratosphere. The musical history he and Chick Corea share — in Miles' '60s bands, at the inception of new electric music in the '70s and beyond — means they've got a lot to talk about.

Listen to the two legends hang and explore that history, their mutual approach to creativity, and more.

Chick has always been a student of the piano — it's a lifelong pursuit that's allowed him to explore in every direction imaginable.

Mario Feninger is one of the many teachers to help guide Chick along the way. As Chick and Mario talk through the four decades of their work together, hear how Chick approaches the fundamentals of piano itself. Mario's classically-informed piano technique is not limited by genre or style; as Chick's no-limits music proves, truly adventurous creativity always starts with a curious mind and a lot of focus.

Chick Corea & Gary Burton have one of the most enduring duets in all of music. Since they first played together in 1972, their creative adventures have known no limits, embracing gorgeous originals for Chick, standards, chamber music with string quartets, and brought in 6 Grammy awards.

They got together at the beginning of a Japanese tour to talk about where it all started — how they both came up in the jazz scene of the 1960s in New York City, where Duke Ellington could cross paths with Miles Davis and Thelonious Monk. Chick and Gary were the new guys on the scene, playing gigs constantly, and they were there for all of it. Hear the inside stories now, for the first time, direct from Chick and Gary.
